Fostering Healthy Relationships

Your family can be one of your biggest supports in your life- if you let them be. It can be hard to move from a childhood relationship with your parents to an adult relationship. Oftentimes this transition results in a lot of tension between parents and children as they seek to understand their new roles in one another's' lives.

This workshop is focused on developing healthy family relationships that can become a source of strength, rather than a source of frustration. While we acknowledge that in some family situations this may not be possible - for many families, all it takes is a bit of hard work and education to get unified and supportive.

We’ll handle topics like:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Why empty-nest syndrome matters
  • The role of parents in the adult life
  • Befriending your parents
  • Trusting your parents to have your back
  • Transparency where it matters, privacy where you need it

Our goal is to help families view education as something they go through together - rather than a sending off for the child to handle on their own.
